The NIAP-15-09 catalyst, formerly known as NKO-2-3F, is used to replace palladium-containing catalysts in the purification process of such gases as nitrogen, argon, helium, hydrogen from oxygen (up to 4 vol%) by the catalytichydrogenation.

The catalyst can be used for the waste gases purification from nitrogen oxides, carbon oxides, ammonia in the nitric acid production, as well as for the CO oxidation.

The distinctive featureof the catalyst is a low activation temperature, so it can be used in wide variety of reactors.

The use of the catalyst allows to get process gases with residualoxygen content not more than 0.0005 vol% at the following conditions: temperatures of 150÷700 °C, volume velocity 20000 hour-1 and pressures up to 30 MPa.

The catalyst can be used for the catalytic process of the technical gases purification from nitrogen oxides at the following conditions: temperatures of 600÷700 °C, volume velocities up to 25000 hour-1 and pressures of 0.25÷0.8 MPa. In this case the catalyst provides content of the nitrogen oxides not more than 0.005 vol %.
