The catalysts of NIAP-15-12 series are used to purify process gases (N2, Ar, H2, He) from oxygen, waste gases – from O2, CO, NH3, and for deep methane oxidation.

 

The catalysts are used for the catalytic purification of process gases from oxygen at the temperatures of 150 ÷ 800 °С, pressures of 0,025 ÷ 30 MPa, space velocities of 500 ÷ 25000 hour-1 and with oxygen content in feed gas in two-stage purification of argon not more than 4 vol% and of nitrogen – not more than 7 vol%. The catalysts provide the residualoxygen content not more than 0.0005 vol% under the conditions mentioned above.

 

The catalysts are also used to purify waste gases from nitrogen oxides in the production of nitric acid and provide nitrogen oxides content in a purified gas not more than 0.005 vol% at the following conditions: temperatures of 150 ÷ 800 °С, pressures of 0.25 ÷ 3.0 MPa and spacevelocities up to 25000 hour-1.

The catalysts can be used to oxidize methane at a conversion rate of methane not less than 99.5% under the following conditions: temperatures of 500 ÷ 750 °С, pressures of 0.025 ÷ 3.0 MPa, spacevelocities of 500 ÷ 25000 hour-1, methane/oxygen ratios of 0.25 ÷ 0.4. The catalysts have low activation temperature and due to this property can be used in all types of reactors. They are particularly suitable for the reactors that need low pressure drop.

On the customer request, it is possible to produce the catalysts of this series having the following shape: outside diameter 18.7 ± 0.3 mm, height 15.5 ± 0.5 mm, 6 peripheralchannels with diameter of 3.7 ± 0.2 mm and the central channel with a diameter of 4.2 ± 0.2 mm. Also it is possible to produce spherical catalysts with seven channels of the following dimensions: sphere diameter of 15.9 ± 0.4 mm, channels diameter of 3.2 ± 0.2 mm. All other chemical and physical properties are the same as in the table above.
